We just finished presenting at Lingerie Fashion Week! Learn more below.
For Spring/Summer 14 the young label Uye Surana presented its 4th season at Lingerie Fashion Week (LingerieFW). Uye Surana is a mix of effortless clothing and lingerie. The designer Monica Wesley drew inspiration from vintage salvaged dishware that washed up on a beach in Brooklyn.
The collection mixed soft pastels in an array of shiny silks, hand-dyed speckle silks, mesh panels, bits of lace, and unexpected sporty details. Brighter hues were sprinkled throughout including a coral silk and hot pink bra and panty set and a cobalt blue set with a lace bandeau bra, which showed it’s versatility with removable straps and nylon lining allowing it to double as a swim top.
Just having finished presenting her fourth season designer Monica Wesley explains, “Uye Surana is a blend of many elements. We offer lingerie that is pretty enough to be paired under semi-sheer tops and dresses, which we also carry alongside layerable silk slips. All our pieces have intrinsic beauty, but they have enough ease to be worn day-in and day-out.”
