I often create my own specialty dye techniques to ensure Uye Surana garments are eco-friendly. The fabric for this one-of-a-kind Speckled-Silk Tank was made by spraying dye and water directly onto the fabric using less materials and energy than other dye techniques. Through this process we create organic looking prints that are unique to each piece, and more importantly environmentally conscious in making.

Occasionally we source deadstock materials that would otherwise wind up in landfills. In Lace Longline Bralette we utilized deadstock vintage lace.

Extra care is taken to reduce excess material waste in the process by designing unique cuts, incorporating fabric that would otherwise be left behind as excess material waste. Our Silk Drawstring Fishtail Dress is a key example of this.

We employ both traditional and our own specially created dye techniques. The Ivory Perfect Top, utilized both a traditional wood-block printing techniques with our signature "Little Houses" print and our own speckle dye treatment.
